hello San Francisco (and beyond)!

Here at Brassfield, we are not only 100% estate grown, but also entirely produced and bottled on our High Valley AVA estate here in Lake County.

We walk every row, touch every vine, and taste every barrel, because we believe in doing things the right way – not the fast way. Our vines dig deep into centuries-old volcanic soil and basalt, drawing out bold, untamed character unlike any other.

We’re not only a leading producer of volcanic wines, but we’re also working to further research and education!

About The estate

From the dual exposures of the Monte Sereno Vineyard to the peak of Volcano Ridge, Brassfield Estate is defined by extremes. Blessed with a unique east-west transverse valley and planted in the top 1% of vineyard elevations worldwide, our vines battle the elements on volcanic slopes. This daily challenge yields grapes of rare strength, producing wines that are as rich in character as they are delicious in flavor.

Wildlife Preserve & Ancient Oaks

We take stewardship of the land and of the creatures in and above it seriously. We have provided a flyway and refuge for thousands of ducks and other waterfowl on the Brassfield Estate lands. These preservation efforts form a connection between our history and the type of sustainable conscientiousness that ensures our future.

but Don't take it from us

Looking for an excuse to visit?

Twenty-one years ago, we set out to capture the raw, untamed energy of our unique high-elevation terroir. Nestled alongside an ancient cinder cone, the volcanic sands and tephra of our Volcano Ridge Vineyard forced our vines to struggle for water and nutrients — concentrating exceptional flavor, structure, and intense characteristics into every single berry.

The result was Eruption, a proprietary multi-varietal red blend that has proudly defined the bold, luxurious spirit of Brassfield Estate Winery for over two decades.

We invite you to join us at our high-elevation estate to celebrate this monumental milestone for our signature release. Whether you want to lounge in the Tasting Room or deep-dive into the science of our soils, we have an unforgettable day planned for you.

Tickets are free to reserve, with guided vertical tasting seminars available to purchase.
