Handcrafted by Winemaker Carlos Valadez and Brassfield's winemaking team, in collaboration with acclaimed Consulting Winemakers David and Katherine DeSante, our focus on sustainable farming, classic techniques, and purity of flavor produce fruit-driven, balanced, and delicious wines.
Whether it's the nuanced flavor of our heritage varietals, or our proprietary Eruption and Serenity blends, all of the grapes that go into our wines are grown in our own vineyards, vinified and bottled at our winery.

While our estate-grown wines capture the nuanced flavor expressed by Old-World heritage varietals, our proprietary Eruption and Serenity blends capture the opposite extremes found on the Brassfield Estate.
The transformation that began with the 2009 vintage draws its inspiration from the profound diversity of our climate and conditions. During growing season, we experience significant diurnal temperature fluctuations, as much as 50 degrees. The impact of temperature change along with the varied nature of our soils and settings produce wines that show bright and expressive forward-fruit characteristics while simultaneously depicting restraint and balance. This inherent contradiction reveals itself only in a place that’s sheer size and dimension allows for both the raw and remote to coexist with the lush and familiar.

BORN OF NECESSITY
Given our remote location, sustainability is not optional, it's critical. Sustainability refers to the capacity to cultivate, thrive and repeat without depleting our precious natural resources. We diligently apply this timeless philosophy to our farming practices to support healthy soils, low yields, and constant attention in growing the finest estate-grown wine grapes possible for generations to come.
SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES
A commitment to sustainability extends to every detail of the approach at Brassfield Estate. Many building materials found in the construction of our winery and visitor center have been re-purposed and re-used. Water used in the winegrowing and winemaking process is recaptured and recycled. We strive to utilize every precious raindrop that falls on our property. The extent of our commitment to sustainability demonstrates that, to us, sustainability is critical.
